Former President Donald Trump announced during a South Carolina rally on Saturday that if elected in 2024, he will appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the Biden family.
“When I get back in office I will appoint a real special prosecutor to investigate every detail of the Biden Crime Family of corruption,” Trump said, resulting in cheers from the crowd.
Trump referred to current President Joe Biden as a criminal and to the Justice Department as the “Department of Injustice” for protecting him.
“Joe Biden is corrupt and Joe Biden is a very compromised president,” Trump said. “He’s being paid off just like a common criminal gets paid off. Just a more sophisticated manner and much larger numbers. But he’s totally protected by the Department of Injustice and by the fake news media.”
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) announced last month that the committee had uncovered information suggesting that “10 or 12 Biden family members” participated in efforts to “launder or hide” money from “Communist China and other countries around the world.”
The White House pushed back against Comer’s probe, claiming it is an “evidence-free, politically-motivated ‘investigation'” into the Biden family.
“This is a crime one hundred times bigger than Watergate and they just don’t want to write about it,” Trump said, referring to the mainstream media.
